Swim Policies

Lesson Format

• Each child will be in a small group around the same age and swimming ability. They will come Mon-Thurs at the same time everyday for a 45 minute lesson. Water babies class is 30 minutes. Friday is a rain makeup day. 

• Each day will build on the day before, so it is important to come everyday. Arrangements will be made to meet on Friday if we are rained out.  I do swim if it is sprinkling, as long as there is no lightning. Specify name and phone number on registration form if another person will be bringing your child, as I do text class cancellations.

• Please view the swimming levels to know the appropriate placement for your child. I will be happy to give assistance in order to appropriately place your child.

Water Babies (18 months - 3 year olds) - Introduction to water and games. Adult/teen has to be in the water during the lesson assisting your child, 30 minutes long. $45 for the week

Level 1 - Young Beginners - have had 1 year of lessons or no lessons yet. They are not swimming independently on this level. Can take multiple weeks to learn

Younger level 2 - This group has learned how to swim in level 1, and ready to move to level 2, but might be in that younger age of 4-6. 

Level 2 - have had at least 1 - 2 years of lessons, but not mastered the deep end and still working on stroke work. Starts in shallow and transitions to deep end/ diving.

Level 3 - mastered the basic front and back stroke; This group works on swimming longer distances (shallow to deep the whole lesson), diving, water safety, treading water and more extensive stroke work. You must take my level 2 before this level. 

Private lessons: Age 3 and Up, 30 min for $35 and scheduled around my group lessons. 

Swimming Lessons Policy Checklist

1. Send an email with your weeks of request to shelley_copeland@yahoo.com. Please include child's name and age, location/week of swimming and give several options in case  one is full. If you would like to do 2 weeks, please book  at request as I fill up quickly. 

2. A registration/liability  google form link will be emailed back, and must be presigned before lessons and sent with deposit of $25. This deposit is $25 for each child and each week you are attending and goes toward the total cost.  Payment options on the website. *

3. Your space is not confirmed until reg. form and deposit is completed. 

4. Total Fee amount: Water babies: $45, Level 1-3, $80 for the week 

5. Balance  payment is due 2 weeks before class, but can be made earlier. 

6. If you have pre-registered and a conflict arises for that week, please give at least 48 hours notice, so that we can fill your spot and secure a new spot for you on another week.  I will work with you as much as I can to have you take at another time to make it up, but please understand future classes maybe full. Last minute cancellations will not be refunded; full payment expected. Please understand and adhere to this policy. If you miss a day due to a scheduling conflict or sickness, it is not made up. 

7. Entrance into the homeowners house is not permitted. Please be changed and ready to swim when you come to the pool. A small child's potty is outside if needed.

8. I love having family and friends come to view swimming lessons. But, if it is a distraction or causing your child to be upset, you may be asked to leave and then return at the end of the lessons. (We have a great parent group that meets behind the bushes!!)

9. Goggles are fine, but no face mask or snorkels etc. We love to blow bubbles!!
